Chateau Cocove

The garden is lovely, and the setting is beautiful. There isn't much to see or do nearby, though, so you'll need a car to get to the coast. Our room was fine, but the bathroom felt quite small. Dinner was very good value at €39 per person, with five or six choices for each course. The options stayed the same all week, which was fine for our three-day stay. Breakfast cost €16 per person and was fairly basic.

Such a nice surprise. We only had one night here, sadly, and I wish we'd stayed longer. I loved wandering around the grounds and the main building.

I've been bringing tour groups here for over 20 years, and the place has stayed consistently excellent. The restaurant is excellent too. It's a smaller historic chateau, with charming rooms and bathrooms that have been newly renovated.

The grounds are beautiful for spending time outdoors, and the hotel is handy for Le Shuttle. The staff at reception were very friendly, the food was excellent, and they welcomed our cat, @furryjetsetter. We'll be back in June! There were a couple of things to sort out, though. The bathroom smelled of mold. I mentioned it, and she said she'd fix it and discounted the bill. Also, I could feel the hard ridge where the two mattresses meet, so the bed could use a mattress topper. If those issues are fixed, it'll be perfect, and I'll update this review. 💕
