The quiet setting and free parking were useful, and check-in was straightforward. But the price felt hard to justify. The shower barely had any pressure, and the gel dispenser gave out so little each time. The gel hardly foamed or smelled of anything, so I still didn’t feel properly clean afterward. Little things like these made it seem as if costs had been cut wherever possible.

Our hostess made us feel very welcome, and the rooms were comfortable, nicely laid out, and had excellent air conditioning. The quiet suburb also makes getting to Strasbourg easy, with the motorways close by for getting in and out. For the city centre, Hoenheim’s Park and Ride is only a five-minute drive away. Parking there for several hours and tram travel for up to seven people costs just €4.20.

Finding a restaurant of this standard in a small village was a real surprise. I know the Logis network of restaurants and hotels, and this one’s Michelin star is absolutely deserved. The menu has plenty of carefully made choices, the wine selection is excellent, and every dish we tried was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The room feels refined but still warm, with lovely table settings, elegant tableware, and tasteful décor. The staff were welcoming and exceptionally well trained, so the service felt both professional and homey. I’d highly recommend it for a memorable meal.

Really good value. My bunk-bed room was clean, and the Wi-Fi worked fine. There’s a local bakery and an Alsacian restaurant less than 400 metres away, plus a supermarket within walking distance.

We were only stopping overnight on our drive through France to Munich, but this independently run place has such a personal touch that we’d happily return. The owner and staff were so friendly, and everything was clean, well decorated, and well maintained. It was very good value too. Just bear in mind there’s no lift, which could be an issue for some travellers. Our room was modern and very comfortable, with a view over the attractive village. We arrived on Sunday evening when reception wasn’t staffed, but access codes for the building and room made that easy. The best local restaurant was closed that day, though there were a couple of other places to eat in the village. At reception, there’s an honesty bar with beers, wine, soft drinks, and snacks. Breakfast was very good, with plenty of choice, in a delightful sunny room. We used one of the hotel’s couple of parking spaces right outside. There seemed to be plenty of street parking too, or spaces in the small village car park next door. It’s a real gem, though I almost hesitate to say so in case everyone finds it!
