Hotel Mazmoura

The hotel is very quiet, and there’s a large park with parking. WiFi is available. Our room felt a bit dated, but the bedding was clean. There’s no TV, which didn’t bother me, and no elevator either, though the marble staircase is lovely. The 75-year-old lady who greeted us was very friendly. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful, with croissants, fresh bread, toast, cereal, cheese, yogurt, butter, jam, eggs, a lovely fruit basket, fruit juice, and hot drinks.

The bedding was comfortable, and although the old sheets were stained, they were clean. Beyond that, nothing was right. The exterior is neglected and the decor outdated. The room hadn't been cleaned: there were more than a dozen spiders on the ceiling and a used bar of soap by the sink. The woman was welcoming, but only after we waited on the doorstep for five minutes while she finished a phone call. We weren't offered breakfast, which we wouldn't have wanted anyway, since the jam jars were already on the table with a spoon in them at 3 pm. At least that's something, I suppose. €70 a night is far too expensive. In these conditions, I wouldn't even let guests stay at my place for free.

We had a lovely short stay, and the manager took excellent care of the three of us. We booked the set menu ahead of time and had dinner and breakfast on the terrace. The hotel is a refreshing change from modern places, even if it is showing its age, and I definitely plan to return because of its very good location. It's a lovely, green, welcoming base for visiting the surrounding castles without spending too much. There’s a roundabout nearby, no elevator, and no TV in our room, but none of that spoiled our stay. Free Wi-Fi is available.

“Vintage” hotel! The bedding was clean and comfortable, but the room hadn’t been cleaned. The carpet hadn’t been vacuumed, there were about ten field spiders in the curtains and on the ceiling, and there was used soap in the sink. The exterior is neglected too. All this for €70 a night. I’m sorry, Madam, but running an establishment this way is unacceptable.
