The rooftop restaurant, Il Duomo, was a highlight for us. It was fully booked for sunset and dinner, but the team still tried to fit us in. The views are nice, cocktails are high quality, and the concise menu has tasty food at good value. The wine and Champagne list is extensive and fairly priced. Cesar, who manages Il Duomo, leads with kindness and empathy, and that shows in the attentive service. Everyone at the hotel was welcoming and engaging, with a special mention for Flory at the front office, whose genuine kindness set the tone for our stay. As someone who works in hospitality, I was impressed by the standards across the property. It’s in an ideal city-centre spot, a short walk from the train station and a 10-minute drive from many Champagne wineries. The rooms and public spaces were spotless, and the bedding and amenities were very nice. We’ve stayed at many Holiday Inn and IHG hotels over the years, and this one stands out even among the portfolio’s luxury brands. I highly recommend it for a stay in Reims.

The rooms are a little underwhelming for the price, but we keep coming back because the location works so well. It’s easy to reach from and return to the main road, there’s secure parking, and the restaurants and bars are nearby. The staff are lovely and helpful.

The location was a real highlight, with restaurants, brasseries, and bistros all around and the cathedral about a 10-minute walk away. The hotel looks recently renovated. Rooms are small, clean, and comfortable; our upgrade came with a side patio that gave us good light and ventilation. There’s a car park downstairs for €15 a day. Space was tight, but having it there was convenient.

The people were really nice, and our room was bigger than most at similar hotels. The location is nearly ideal, though we still had to walk a bit to reach most places. The hotel parking won’t take medium or large cars because you have to use a lift to get to it; our Toyota Yaris wouldn’t fit. The staff pointed us to another car park 50 metres away at a similar price. I’d read that the club opposite can be loud, but it wasn’t operating while we were there.

The room was spotless and comfortable, and the hotel had a relaxing feel. The staff were kind and attentive throughout. We really enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn Reims, and it made our time in Reims even better. We’d happily come back.
