The apartments are large and fully equipped, so self-catering is possible. Renting an apartment in a retirement home is certainly an unusual concept, but the value for money wasn’t right for us. The rooms are spacious, simply furnished, and unfortunately not very clean. Breakfast costs almost €13 per person, which felt expensive for jam, cheese, and ham that weren’t replenished, plus a baguette and croissant. The service also wasn’t very attentive or well trained. The coffee machine water wasn’t refilled and the grounds container wasn’t emptied unless we specifically asked. That needs improvement. The apartment’s size doesn’t make up for these issues.

Finding the place was difficult. It’s in a courtyard and the entrance isn’t clearly marked. The rooms are very spacious and clean, with lots of room, and seem to have been renovated fairly recently. Now that we know how to find the entrance, we’d come again.

The apartment was spacious and very quiet, around a ten-minute walk from Reims Cathedral. It’s comfortable and very clean, with secure parking right beside the building. It was a little surprising at first to find the apartments inside a senior living residence.

Axelle made me feel very welcome. The room was lovely, and the staff were attentive!

The location is a little out of the way, though it’s manageable. The rooms are beautiful and clean.
