Residhotel – Résidence Pont du Gard

We found this a great-value choice for a family or friends who want to cook for themselves. It’s in a quiet spot in the garrigue, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The location also makes it easy to get to all the Pont du Gard sites.

We enjoyed our stay so much last year that we came back this year, and we’re sure to return again next year. The hotel is clean, the pool is spacious, and the staff are really nice. It’s amazingly well located, too.

We used it as a clean, simple base for seeing nearby places like the Pont du Gard. It’s well situated and convenient, and the price is fair. Don’t expect much in the way of amenities or charm, but it works well as a practical place to stay while exploring the region.

The location is idyllic and peaceful, with lots of tourist attractions nearby. It’s a lovely starting point for families and nature lovers, and the receptionist was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Unfortunately, serious problems with upkeep and organization undermined those positives. Our request for early check-in was neither confirmed nor clearly refused. That made planning our arrival day extremely difficult, especially with children, and the lack of reliable information was unacceptable for a family. The room was short on toilet paper, which became inconvenient. Furniture and fixtures looked old and poorly maintained, and it felt like management wasn’t taking cleaning or maintenance seriously. Cleanliness was disappointing throughout. The elevators and hallways had visible dirt, cobwebs, dust, and stains on the walls and ceilings. In our room, tables, handles, switches, and other surfaces had visible marks and hadn’t been properly cleaned. The bathroom was especially unhygienic, with dirty shower glass covered in limescale. The peaceful setting gives the accommodation potential, but the cleanliness, maintenance, and communication issues left us with mixed feelings. With more care and better upkeep, it could be an outstanding choice. As it stands, the unreliable early check-in arrangements are a major drawback for families.
