Le Therminus

It was so relaxing that I went to bed early. The room is stylish and full of lovely light, with birds singing and the river flowing in the background. The hosts were welcoming and accommodating, and I’d stay here again whenever I’m in town.

We were looking for a quiet room, but the welcome we got was poor. Since neither side spoke the other’s language well, we had to use translation software. It was awkward, but the only option. The room we were shown was small and simple, with a cubicle for a bathroom. The floors are stone tiles, so unless you're on the top floor, you’ll probably hear every move from the neighbors upstairs. We thought it would be polite to explain to the manager that we’d look for somewhere quieter. That turned out to be a mistake: we were rudely shown out the door. Be warned. Later, the owner also cordoned off some of the limited street parking for friends arriving that day. Despicable. We ended up in a lovely apartment at Les Angelots, easily more than twice the size for less money, with a kind and polite owner.

The food was tasty and freshly prepared, even the fries, which they make in-house. It’s a very nice place to stay, with a good restaurant and a new terrace directly above the salt.

The hosts are lovely and add such a personal touch. It’s the coziest, nicest restaurant in rennes les bains, with an eclectic range of food and drinks to pick from. Highly recommend.
