Mercure Rennes Place Bretagne

We had a really nice time. The breakfast was lovely, with fresh orange juice, and Thi Thuy was such a warm, friendly, helpful server. When the toaster wasn’t working properly, she helped us straight away.

Thi Thuy, who looked after the breakfast room, was kind and professional, which made an already excellent breakfast even nicer. Our stay at the Mercure Hotel was great: the staff were helpful, services ran smoothly, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and well kept. I’d recommend it.

I'm more used to Ibis, so the little touches here made it feel like a higher standard. Good place.

I was offered a room when I arrived early just to drop off my suitcase, which gave me a chance to freshen up and settle in before my event. It was a lovely one-night stay. I’d initially declined breakfast because there didn’t seem to be much for a vegan, but the manager said they could arrange something and asked what I wanted. In the morning they’d made me a salad with lettuce, tomatoes, and sliced zucchini. They heated the soy milk I requested, so I could have hot muesli with chia and flax seeds, grains, and dried fruit. There were gluten-free choices too, including gluten-free muesli, plus almonds, dates, and walnuts, though I left those out. I also could have had bread, fruit, and a nice range of vegan jams. I was very satisfied with what they put together.
