The breakfast was delicious, and the room was comfortable. We’d booked at very short notice after a local campsite let my friend and me down during our bike tour. Joel gave us a warm welcome and was an exceptional host. I’d recommend staying here.

There are bike trails, restaurants, and a supermarket nearby, and the location works well for getting to Europark, about 30 minutes away. It’s also close to the German border and sits between Strasbourg and Colmar. The host was charming.

The owner cancelled a Smartbox reservation even though the room was available on the dates booked. Getting a refund from Smartbox, including the additional cost, was very difficult. The property is advertised as a unique accommodation in gift boxes, but it’s just a standard room. That left me feeling the service was unprofessional and unreliable.
