Gite Domaine de la Juranvillerie

After a full day cycling and visiting castles, spending the afternoon and evening in the gorgeous garden at Domaine de la Juranvillerie was just what we needed. The natural swimming pool is stunning too. We asked for a vegetarian dinner, and Sylvain and Vincent made us an incredible meal. Thank you!

We loved how much privacy the little room-houses offered, each with its own terrace. Sylvain and Vincent were charming and welcoming while still giving us space. Breakfast came with fresh fruit salad and yummy croissants, and the Friday or Saturday dinner with the owners was so cosy. Sylvain is an amazing chef and knows his local wines. There’s a huge, beautiful garden, a fantastic natural pool and even a little forest for walks. The domaine is a peaceful place to stay while exploring nearby villages and the many castles by car. We enjoyed our first family holiday here with our baby, just a month and a half old, and would definitely recommend it.

The evening charcuterie and cheese platter was excellent, and breakfast was generous and high quality. It’s a lovely guest room in a quiet, secluded spot. Just watch out for the dog: it can open doors and ate all our cakes, chocolate and bread.

We only stopped for one night on the drive back from vacation, but it was a wonderful find. The welcome was great and the service felt very professional. Our accommodation was clean, and the grounds were peaceful and lovely. Breakfast had fresh ingredients, with some homemade treats like pudding and French toast. There were savory and sweet choices, and it was excellent. We highly recommend staying here and hope to return on a longer trip along the Loire.
