Hôtel le Pont d'Arcole

Noise was a real problem: I was woken at 5:00 a.m. by a yard sale, and there was no soundproofing at all. The room wasn't clean, and the reception felt cold and unprofessional. Service overall fell short, and the lack of amenities made things uncomfortable. Breakfast needs work too. Everyone was dipping their spoon into a shared jar of jam, which seemed questionable hygienically. I'm very disappointed and won't return.

The staff were very welcoming, and the meals were excellent. The room gets very hot without air conditioning, and sound carries through the poor soundproofing. Even so, I still had a pleasant stay.

The staff were professional, very pleasant, and provided excellent service. Breakfast was very good and inexpensive. Like other guests have mentioned, the rooms and soundproofing were an issue.

The managers are lovely, and the welcome was very friendly, but the value for money just isn't there. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and quiet. Still, the wallpaper is peeling, the lights flicker, there's no faucet on the sink, the old-fashioned tiles are damaged, and the shower head is broken. I know it's basic accommodation, but still... Dinner also felt overpriced, despite the pleasant service. There was no real effort in how the dishes were presented. It's a shame. Maybe the managers could use some support.
