We had a lovely night aboard the yacht. It’s an older boat, but felt like a home from home and had everything we needed. The host stayed in touch and was full of useful information. Pubs and restaurants are nearby, and the showers and toilets are only a few minutes away. Rochefort centre is about a 15-minute walk. A great, unusual place to stay.

The marina felt peaceful, secure, and sheltered, and the team were so helpful throughout our stay. Facilities were very good, especially for the low price compared with other places we’ve moored. The inner basins brought St Kathrines dock in the City of London to mind. There’s a lot of history in this delightful little city, and “the maritime Versailles” seems just right.

Staying on the boat was lovely, and the location was great.

Just what we needed, a lovely boat to stay on in the harbour.

A calm, pleasant place to sit and take in the soothing view. There are benches, and you can often see boat owners working on their boats. There’s also a book box. Shops are close by, and walkers and runners seem to enjoy this spot.
