Really clean, with plenty of space, and the harbour view is fantastic. The location is spot on.

The sea-facing balcony was the one good part. Inside, the apartment was generally dirty, even with pet hair on the couch. The dishwasher was out of salt. There wasn't a hairdryer in the apartment; there's one for the whole building, but you have to ask reception for it and bring it back. There were no clothes pegs for drying laundry, which is awkward with the wind blowing all the time.

We only needed somewhere for two nights while passing through. With the violent storms in Corsica, we decided not to camp, and I found this apartment at the last minute. I can see now why it was still available 😖 The setting is beautiful, and that's about the only plus. The shared areas looked like they hadn't been swept in ages. Our apartment wasn't clean either. When we opened the sofa bed, it was full of dust and used tissues, and there wasn't enough cutlery for four. I politely told reception. They said everything would be cleaned while we were out for an hour, that they'd bring extra cutlery, and that I was right to mention the problems. When we got back, the only change was that the dirty sofa-bed sheet had been removed. No extra cutlery appeared. We were completely taken for a ride at reception. I don't know who runs the place, but it's deplorable. Great location, terrible service. I absolutely don't recommend it.

The village is charming and, though small, has plenty around: restaurants, bars, a bakery, supermarket, grocery store and ATM. Macinaggio is also handy for visiting the beautiful Cap Corse beaches. Some are about a ten-minute drive away, while others are reached along the scenic D80. Our new apartment was right by the sea, with the bay in front and the marina to the right. It was spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen including a microwave, kettle, dishwasher and induction hob, plus a sofa and TV stand in the same room. The double bedroom was comfortable. The bathroom and tub were in one room, with the toilet separate. There was a big balcony with a table and chairs. No washing machine in the apartment, but the residence has laundry facilities at very reasonable prices. A welcoming place, just 10 metres from the sea.
