The person at reception was the one bright spot: they tried to help and prepared breakfast for our child. I also appreciated the woman at the restaurant who was willing to support us. The rest of the restaurant service was painfully slow, and the food was a disaster. People seemed relaxed to the point of having no customer focus. A child asked a barman for water and started crying, but he kept talking and serving beer. We were promised water for the room after the dispute at the bar, then had to go back downstairs and ask reception for it ourselves. I don’t see how that shows a committed team, and I disagree with the hotel’s response that staff have a different point of view. It felt like they were on vacation, moving very slowly and casually. I still stand by my view. This was one of my most questionable experiences with Novotel and All Accor group. I don’t think the whole restaurant team should stay, apart from the helpful woman. The airport shuttle also costs extra, which I’ve never encountered before. Tickets are 5 EUR per person; for three people, a Bolt costs 12-14 EUR and takes you directly to your terminal. I chose Novotel expecting the same service in France as in Germany, Italy, Japan, Chile, or elsewhere. I’ve had better service at Novotel hotels around the world, and suggest the owner visit Japan, Tashkent, Dubai, or another location to compare, especially Japan. The treatment here, particularly toward kids, was unprofessional.

The room was huge, clean, and well organized, with far more space than a typical Paris hotel room. The contemporary bathroom was spotless, with a large vanity and walk-in shower. The lobby felt welcoming, and the giant teddy bears and pool table were a fun touch. I had a very pleasant, stress-free stay at Novotel Paris Roissy CDG Convention, a comfortable, spacious option near Charles de Gaulle. For transport, I paid €16 for an Uber from the airport. On the return, the hotel shuttle cost €5 and came every 30 minutes, so it was convenient and more affordable. The only small drawback was weak shower pressure in the morning, though it wasn’t a dealbreaker.

The room didn’t have decaf coffee or tea. Cleanliness was very good at the entrance and on the floors, but the scratched toilet seat didn’t feel hygienic. Although the booking promised a good window view, ours looked straight onto a rooftop with no view outside. Breakfast cost a lot for the limited selection, and the food available was cold. The bathroom shower also had low water pressure and wasn’t working properly.
