I really wish I’d had more time here. The host was warm and welcoming, and the room was spacious, cool, clean, practical, and well equipped. There was plenty of parking and lots of amenities nearby. Breakfast was good value, and I enjoyed it 👍

The rooms are comfortable and the staff are pleasant, but the place feels more like a dormitory than a proper hotel. There’s no restaurant or bar, though you can get a few drinks at reception. It’s clean and suits a small budget, but it has no real soul and could do with fresh paint. The corridor to the rooms is a flashy pink and white. Reception only opens for check-in from 5:00 pm.

The bathrooms are up to date, and the employees were very responsive. It’s a cute property, though the room was very small and the extra bed was tiny. Some of that may be because all six of us are 6 feet or taller. There’s no AC.

The owners were incredibly accommodating, and breakfast with bread and pastries was delicious. The Wi-Fi worked really well, too. The room felt cozy and turned out to be much more comfortable than my first impression suggested.

I was set on finding this retro Provençal hotel after turning off the motorway, but ended up getting lost in the lovely countryside. Bring a map and compass. It has a 60s feel, and the Chinese couple who have taken it over have kept it clean and friendly. It’s off the beaten track and worth exploring. I worry the rural French roads are heading the way of Route 66 in the US.
