It was lovely to eat outside, both for our delicious meal, served by a very friendly waitress, and again at breakfast, which was very good. We hadn’t been to this hotel for a few years, so it was nice to return. It’s under new management now, and we were warmly welcomed and shown to a beautiful room. We paid extra for a larger one. The decor was really good, and the bathroom was very well appointed. We were very satisfied with the stay, especially with how friendly all the staff were. That had been missing on our previous visits. Just one small criticism: the menu could have a bit more choice.

The restaurant has plenty to choose from on both the food and wine menus, with decent quality at a very reasonable price. The hotel is good, with clean, adequate rooms and a nice view. The staff were very friendly and spoke English too. There isn’t a lot to do right nearby, but it’s a nice base for trips around the area.

It’s a quiet, remote area, and breakfast was good. The room was small but clean, and the bed was too small for me at 2 metres tall. Nobody speaks English.

Hotel-Restaurant Le Rhien is a friendly, well-equipped and convenient place to stop and recharge. I tried the vegetarian dinner menu, and it was delicious 😉

The rooms are still up to their usual high standard, and the food was lovely. It was just so hot that it took away from the stay. Of course, there’s no air conditioning in this part of France!
