B&B HOTEL Fréjus Roquebrune-sur-Argens

Our car broke down, so we ended up staying here without planning to. It suited us because the hotel was right beside the service garage. For a planned vacation, though, we wouldn’t choose it. It’s more somewhere to rest during a long drive than a place to spend a holiday.

The beds were pretty comfortable and the rooms had good furnishings, but there were problems everywhere else. The air conditioning was so dirty that it seemed like it could cause health problems, and a lot of things were broken. A door handle came off when someone tried to open the door, and the bathroom handle spun all the way around, so the door wouldn’t close. The shower area was very dirty too. The manager was mean. The breakfast was actually tasty, though there wasn’t much variety. It’s sad that one person was doing all the hotel work, making and restocking food and handling reception, while the manager, who wasn’t helping, was angry and mean for no reason. I’m sure there are better hotels than this.

The rooms were nasty and dated. They need new carpets, paint, and doors.

The room was so full of mould that we started having breathing problems after just two minutes inside, even with the window open. It was also dirty and clearly smelled of smoke. The whole hotel felt run down. The receptionist seemed to understand, but the boss didn’t. After two and a half months, we did at least get our money back. It wasn’t worth a penny, certainly not €170 a night. Visited 19 August 2022.
