ibis budget Rouen Centre Rive Gauche

The smell in our room was sickly sweet and rotten, and opening the window didn’t help at all. Now our clothes smell the same. The rooms are tiny, too. With two adults and luggage on the floor, there’s hardly space to move or anywhere else to put the bags. Staff were friendly and accommodating, and public transport to the city centre is excellent. Breakfast was terrible, though: no plates, bread, croissants, juice, or cereal. Food appeared now and then, but a few people grabbed it almost immediately, and tables weren’t cleaned between guests. It honestly felt like someone had been put in charge of breakfast for the first time without knowing what to do or having a plan.

There’s a nice, clean hotel with a bar and restaurant, plus plenty of parking. They even had room for my coach.

We had a spacious family room that worked really well for our kids, aged 4 and 9. The hotel’s in a good spot, offers great value, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was amazing. I’d definitely recommend it.

The staff were all friendly and helpful, and our room had a comfortable bed with a good-sized, clean bathroom. Breakfast didn’t have a huge range, but it was more than enough. Since the room included breakfast and was so cheap, the whole stay was a real bargain. Getting into the centre was easy. The main bus line is a couple of minutes’ walk away, and city travel is free on Saturdays. We were downtown just minutes after leaving the hotel.
