Room 209 was the one snag: my friends staying there said the heater wasn’t working properly and they were cold overnight. The other rooms, including mine, were fine. We’d booked several rooms for a group for one night, and everyone found the staff kind, the rooms clean, and the bar service good. The parking entrance is narrow, but having a space in the same building was extremely convenient in the middle of the old district. I’d strongly recommend the hotel.

The location was great, and the room was spacious, but the service was terrible. There were three people at the counter and only one could help us. The man who served us was really rude. It was already 30 degrees outside, yet the air conditioning blew only hot air. The shower wouldn’t drain and there was no hand soap. After an hour of discussion, they finally moved us to a room with cool air and a working shower. Those are basic things a room should have.

Parking was ideal and worth the 19 euros a day. Our fourth-floor Privilege room was quiet, with a comfortable queen bed, a strong shower, a Nespresso machine, and a fridge stocked with free soft drinks for us. The reception team were friendly and efficient. A couple of small fixes are needed: the ground-floor toilet lights and the single lift that was in service.

We had a really enjoyable stay in Rouen. The receptionists were very helpful, the room was comfortable with a good TV and bathroom, and there are plenty of restaurants close by. The hotel is right in the heart of the city, just a one-minute walk from Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Rouen. There’s underground parking, but get the restricted-area access code before you travel there.

The room was excellent for our stay, though it’s a little tired in places. We had a wonderful time, and the staff were lovely and helpful. I’d choose this place again over other options.
