Hôtel Des Roches

Breakfast was fresh, tasty, and beautifully laid out, with pastries, cold cuts, cheese, and yogurt. We ate in a lovely room overlooking the pond, terrace, and park. The hotel also has a huge parking lot, and the owners were incredibly welcoming. We stayed as a couple for a short visit and were very happy with both the hotel and restaurant. Our room was clean, had plenty of towels, comfortable bedding, and a view of the park. We were on half-board and ate really well. The chicken fillets with mushroom sauce were excellent, as were the chocolate fondant, cheeses, sauerkraut, and the two vol-au-vents with fries. The sauerkraut portions were especially generous. The restaurant feels elegant, with lovely tablecloths and cloth napkins, and the young waitress was friendly and efficient. Prices are reasonable, including a three-course daily special for €20. We highly recommend this place.

The setting is still pleasant and has been nicely renovated, and the service was friendly, attentive, and professional. We had a wonderful time and will gladly come back. After several years away and a few changes in management, this was a lovely rediscovery. The recent takeover has made a striking difference. The food was excellent, cooked just right and beautifully presented, with generous portions. Prices are reasonable, and the value is outstanding.

We'd been disappointed here under the previous owners, so we hadn't visited for several years. We came back on Thursday evening and were pleasantly surprised by how spectacularly things have changed under the new management, in place for about six months. The meal was excellent: duck breast, roast ham hock, and chicken supreme, all beautifully presented and generously portioned. Prices were very reasonable. The setting is lovely, and the service was warm, attentive, and professional. We'll definitely return. Congratulations and best of luck to the new team.
