The Indre River setting was gorgeous in every kind of light, even when it rained. Our Moulin was roomy, comfortable, beautifully appointed, and had all the things we could need, right down to the lovely linens. Fabrice, Francois, Germaine, and Julie were so attentive and welcoming. Our Loire escape at Mouilin Chevriere was just perfect. 🥰

We only got to stay a few days, but I’d happily return for much longer. The place feels like a fairytale, with a lovely mix of elegance and rustic charm, and the peaceful sounds of nature made it easy to relax. Francois even looked over our plans and helped us rearrange the castle visits to make better use of our time. The breakfast was delicious, and the conversation was great too.

Morning fog, nearby animals, and the rush of the water made this place feel completely magical. It was such a unique stay, and I still have really fond memories of it. I’d love to come back, and highly recommend it if you’re after something different.

Living right beside the Indre river, with that charming countryside all around, felt like magic. Fabrice was caring, kind, compassionate, and funny, and made an already lovely stay even better. This was the highlight of our trip to France. We’ll be back.

The sound of the rushing river around us made sleeping here such a unique experience. We had a delightful evening and night at the Moulin de la Chevrière, in a magical spot that was also very conveniently located. Fabrice, the owner, was a fabulous host and gave us thoughtful ideas for dinner and things to do nearby. We highly recommend it and will return.
