Le Patio De Sophie

The breakfast was delicious and generous, and the rooms were beautiful. Sophie welcomed my fiancé and her parents when they came to view wedding venues nearby. The hotel has a lovely homely warmth, with a tasteful mix of old and new. Thanks, Sophie, for all the extra touches that made their stay special. I’ll recommend le patio de Sophie to all my friends for a unique stay in a beautiful hotel and setting.

Sophie made us a lovely breakfast and gave us a warm welcome, making sure we were comfortable. We also had a fabulous dinner at a nearby restaurant she recommended. We stayed at this gem in Sisteron two days ago and had a wonderful time. The architecture is distinctive, and the rooms are beautifully appointed. I'd recommend it to anyone staying in Sisteron.

I gave the room and location 5 stars, but service only 2. I was double booked because the original room was said to be “no longer available,” and when I finally got through, I was asked to cancel the booking. Both payments were kept. Sophie, you said booking with you was 20% cheaper. We couldn't get a massage because it was the weekend, and 14 days later I still had no refund. What did you expect? The same week I stayed at O2 intercontinental in London, la licorne spa in Troyes, and chateau de Matel. I'm sorry I gave my opinion. Reviews are there to help you improve with grace, but you didn't apologize for the refund still being outstanding after 14 days, lied on Google review, and insulted me. But that's okay, let's agree to disagree. Good luck for your season.

Our only reservation about giving the room five stars was that chambre Durance, the topmost room, had no air conditioning. The lower rooms probably stay cooler thanks to the thick stone walls. With the windows open, our room cooled to a comfortable temperature, and we slept easily on the lovely bed and linens. We enjoyed our one night at La Patio de Sophie. The room and property are tastefully decorated, and would cost two or three times as much in a large city. Sophie greeted us at breakfast, where we loved hearing how she came to create Le Patio and also Le Cottage de Sophie. You can see how hard she works to give guests a great experience.
