Château de Sacy

The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, and we felt welcome the whole time. Our room had plenty of space and character, and it was clean and comfortable, with fresh linens, robes, slippers, and complimentary food and drinks. We also enjoyed the spa and wellness area. The outdoor Nordic bath was such a vibe, so I’d recommend booking access to the wellness area. There isn’t much nearby, so having breakfast included was convenient, since getting elsewhere would mean driving. We had lunch and dinner at the château. Both meals used the same small menu, but the food was really good. The portions were small, though we had four or more courses, and the dishes were unusual and delicious. We spent two full days and nights there, which felt just right for a relaxing getaway. I’d definitely recommend a stay to friends and family.

The massage cabin was a very good experience, and the room we stayed in was the hotel’s best, spacious, comfortable, beautiful, and with an unbelievable view. The hotel itself is charming, but the service needs attention. At the restaurant, we ordered champagne and wine, but even after the food arrived, nobody served our drinks. My husband had to fetch the bottles three times. When I asked, the waiter said it was the sommelier’s responsibility, but then the sommelier disappeared. For almost 500 €, we ended up managing that service ourselves. Room service also took our face towels without replacing them. The food was good, just not excellent. Communication was difficult at times because the staff didn’t speak English, and I wish we had learned French or that they spoke English.

We’re already eager to stay at Chateau de Sacy on a future visit. The view was spectacular, though the Chef’s dishes were even better. Each one celebrated le terroir, looked beautiful on the plate, and tasted delicious. The staff made us feel welcome, and we especially enjoyed talking with Laura, who knows Champagne well and is passionate about it. It was a wonderful dinner.

The team made us feel at home in an elegant setting. Joris, Baptiste, Lisa and her lovely daughter, and Adrien were genuinely kind, always smiling, and attentive. They helped arrange a wine tour, dinner reservations, and transportation, making everything easy and enjoyable. Château de Sacy is surrounded by vineyards and beautiful views, and the location felt like paradise. It’s a truly unforgettable stay, with beauty, comfort, and wonderful hospitality. Highly recommended!
