Sophie made me feel so welcome and introduced me to classic French dishes and delicious biodynamic wines. The food was exquisite, and the guest house was beautiful, spacious, cosy, and had everything I needed and more. La Maison Saint Aignan is right in the centre of a very cute village, with a wonderful wine shop and lovely boutiques like Portobello. I had a magical stay and am already thinking about coming back. Huge thanks to Sophie!

Sophie was a very pleasant host, and the service was excellent. The breakfast was traditional and really good, with quality homemade or artisanal items: baguette, butter, homemade jams, honey, fruit, pastries, cheese, hot drinks, and artisanal apple juice. It was served at 8:30 or 9:00 a.m.; for the first two days we were lucky to get it at 8:00 thanks to a German delegation, which we appreciated. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet, with comfortable bedding. We also enjoyed the pleasant breakfast room, lounge, and entrance, plus the small courtyard garden. It was a pleasure to stay here. Thank you so much, and I hope we can return with a larger group! 😁

Sophie was friendly, and we felt right at home in this lovely old-world house. We stayed in the Louise room and slept very well in the excellent bed. Breakfast was excellent, with local and homemade products. The house is beautifully decorated with lots of vintage finds, and its spot on the small square is perfect. A place to remember for another trip to the region and the Loire Valley castles.
