We could eat a menu du jour right there, so there was no need to head out for a good dinner. The huge swimming pool was another nice feature, and nearby forest walks brought us all kinds of butterflies. We stayed in the spacious, nicely decorated yellow room. At 1,100 meters, it stayed cool at night thanks to the thick walls. The bathroom was well equipped, and the shower worked perfectly. A great place to unwind.

The homemade food alone made the visit worthwhile. Le Marconnes has an authentic feel, with Dutch savoir vivre in the countryside of central France, and it feels a bit like stepping into the past. It could suit artists looking for inspiration, leaders searching for ideas, or anyone wanting to slow down. I highly recommend it for a unique experience, and think it deserves its five stars.

The signs leading to the place were limited, but once there, it had a nice, old-world, quaint feel. The couple were lovely, and they’re new to BnB.

The decor was lovely, and we were really looked after. The meal was friendly and pleasant, with tasty, generous portions for 20 euros, easily worthy of a good restaurant. The lady even waited outside for us in the cold. The room was cold when we arrived, which was the only downside. I think it was just a mistake on their part, and they soon fixed it with good heating.

A real haven in nature, and a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The hosts were incredibly kind and their hospitality was impeccable. Elvire is an excellent cook, and the meals are very good value for money. The setting is magnificent.
