The meal was delicious and beautifully presented, and our waitress was lovely and helped us with our French. Still, the pace made the evening disappointing. We had to choose dessert when ordering our starters and main courses, and each course arrived within minutes of finishing the last. Dessert came before we’d even been in the restaurant an hour, while we still had more than half a bottle of wine left. For the price, we expected a relaxed evening. We were so full from being rushed through the meal that we didn’t enjoy dessert, which was a shame. I gave just one star for service, though the waitress herself was wonderful. It’s a lovely restaurant, but we felt hurried throughout.

The host was very kind and made us Escargot, which were amazing. The food was excellent, with refined, almost gourmet-style plates, and the menu was fairly priced. A great experience.

The dishes were all nicely cooked and presented, and the evening cocktail was original and very easy to drink. We had a great first evening in Vannes. The owner let us in after we checked with him, and his service all night was impeccable. Well worth treating yourselves.

We paid €100 for two and left hungry, with our stomachs still rumbling, so we had to get takeaway right afterward. For that price, I expected twice the food and a decent portion of vegetables. The main courses were tiny, with just a few salad leaves and a parsnip. The lamb was very fatty; the pork was excellent, but also far too small for the price, and came with a tiny portion of quite lumpy mash. The puddings were nice, served in an edible chocolate flower pot, but small and not substantial enough. One of our drinks arrived with several ants in it. They replaced it, but how did ants get into the glass in the first place? Service was friendly and efficient, though a bit amateurish. Definitely nowhere near good enough. The other negative reviews are worth reading too, since there seems to be a common theme like what we experienced.
