Manoir de Beaupre

Hortense says the Manoir is her obsession, and it shows. The warm pastries she makes for breakfast are outstanding. I’ve been a chef for more years than I care to count and have taught hundreds, maybe thousands, of trade apprentices, but her brioche was the lightest and most delicate I’ve ever had. It changed how I thought about something I knew well. In my stumbling French, I told her it was the best of my life. I only wish Hortense had a recipe book to sell. I stay in B&Bs when traveling overseas every year or two, and Manoir de Beaupre is easily the best I’ve come across. The location is great, the 3000 square metre garden is beautiful, and the rooms are comfortable and beautifully presented. Don’t just stay for a night or two. Vannes is a great town.

We were a bit early for check-in, but Hortense and her Husband gave us such a warm welcome and immediately took us to the market in the city center. Their tips on places to visit were excellent and helped us make the most of our short stay. They really go out of their way to make guests feel at home. We spent three nights at the gorgeous Manoir de Beaupré. Breakfast was amazing, especially Hortense's homemade brioche, and we’d definitely return.

Eliza, thank you for a lovely stay. The room was beautiful and exceptionally clean, and breakfast was delicious and homemade. It’s ideally located, about a 10-minute walk from town. There are exceptional restaurants in Vannes, just ask the host. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with four other people and would definitely recommend it.

The whole family loved breakfast, with its varied, high-quality homemade food. We were warmly welcomed into a tastefully decorated house and room. We had an excellent stay. Many thanks to our hosts!
