Camping Les Pierres Couchées

We were in the shade of the pine trees, and it was only about a five-minute walk to the beach. The campsite was friendly and cozy, with all the facilities available, and the mobile home we rented met and even exceeded our expectations. During our stay, the grocery shop and bakery were open only Thursday through Sunday. Luckily, a couple of shopping centers were just a few minutes away by car.

Our mobile home was amazing, with air conditioning, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. It was a small, quiet site, and the beach was an easy walk through a cool wooded area. The beaches were quiet and beautiful.

The location worked really well for beaches, sightseeing, and local towns. Even though the site is large and we were near the pool, it stayed quiet and peaceful. Reception, the site team, takeaway, lifeguards, and animation were all very good. The takeaway food was really good too. Reception helped us book local attraction tickets, arranged a quick gas change, and replaced bedding after we found a stain on the sheet we’d been given. We booked directly with Siblu and stayed in BR28 in August, in a private mobile home listed as their most expensive accommodation. It didn’t meet our family’s expectations. The double bedroom and ensuite smelled of stale urine all week, the living room rug was a trip hazard, and the dishwasher had no tablets so we couldn’t use it. The previous guests had turned off the fridge instead of setting it to ‘1’ as instructed. There were oversized signs stuck on doors, no food storage in the kitchen, a broken tin opener, and a dirty glass. I do wonder how thoroughly anyone checks the accommodation after guests leave, with check-out at 9am and check-in at 5pm. The wooded setting felt peaceful, but also left our accommodation area cold and without sun, even on warmer days. The grocery shop wasn’t adequate for such a large site, though the fresh baguettes were tasty. We only saw someone checking wristbands or fun passes once all week. The amphitheatre is a great space, but not really somewhere to sit and relax with a drink while watching entertainment, which we preferred at the previous Siblu site we visited. I’d stay with Siblu again, but probably not at this site.

We’d gladly return next year. Our mobile home was high quality and well looked after, the site was clean and well maintained, and reception was incredibly helpful. The pool complex was great for the whole family, with different entertainment on offer. The foam party was one of our highlights, great fun! The village sits in a forest near a wonderful long beach, with plenty to do and see nearby. I’d thoroughly recommend it to families with three boys.
