Le Nessay

The setting by the beach was so calm, and Hotel Le Nessay felt like a little castle by the sea. The elegant decor was balanced with comfort, and every window in our room framed panoramic water views. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, and the shower tucked into a turret was a memorable, whimsical touch. We were happy to find complimentary water and a welcome drink waiting in the room. Our dog was welcomed warmly, and the dog beach was an easy 10-minute walk away, which made daily outings a joy. We also enjoyed the outdoor deck, where we had a splendid lunch, and the on-site restaurant, with refined flavors and fresh local ingredients. The hotel was dog-friendly and accommodating throughout. From arrival, the attentive staff greeted us warmly and personally showed us to our ready room. We appreciated the relaxing atmosphere, the charming birdlife, and the steady quality of service. Brunch in such a beautiful place was amazing. The cakes, food, and teas were pretty average for the price, though. Quite expensive for the quality, which is a pity.

We went for lunch and chose the fixed-price three-course menu, available Wed-Sat. The food was delicious, excellent, and beautifully presented in a relaxed, informal setting. The menu isn’t especially cheap, but it’s good value if you’re celebrating or want to make a guest feel special. Wines can be pricey, though there are a few sensibly priced bottles that are very good to drink. The setting is beautiful too, on a small peninsula with yacht harbours on both sides.

You can stroll through the garden and see the sea, listening to the waves 🌊 splash against the rocks. The house looks like a palace on a narrow strip of land reaching out into the sea. There’s a restaurant too, though I didn’t have time to visit. A good place to see.
