Le Vieux Mas

The swimming pool and jacuzzi were a real bonus, and the cabin had all the comforts we needed for a pleasant stay. Le Vieux Mas is in a magnificent setting, perfect for recharging in nature. Angèle welcomed us wonderfully, was so kind and helpful, and had left us a lovely little surprise for when we arrived. I highly recommend it!

At this price, the poor maintenance and equipment at the "Erables" gîte are unacceptable. The inventory didn’t match, the skirting boards were coming away from the wall, and the dark shower had a broken fitting so the shower head couldn’t be fixed in place. The toilet seat was barely acceptable. The garden chairs and tables were so old and fragile that we were afraid of breaking them. We weren’t welcomed by the owners. The only instruction we received was not to disturb them. The gîte is isolated, with no shop within a 20-minute drive.

The area has so many lovely things to see and is centrally placed for exploring, with excellent local food too. We found the farmhouses comfortable, and the owners were incredibly friendly while giving us space. It’s a beautiful, peaceful place, and we’ll definitely return.

It’s overpriced for what you get, and there are many better options nearby. The hosts were unpleasant. Don’t contradict the owner, as it can make him violent. He may hurl insults and vulgarities at you, then become physically threatening. Avoid this place at all costs.
