The room was spacious, cute, and surprisingly affordable for how comfortable it was. It was so quiet, and the bedding was superb. I haven’t slept that well in ages. The owners kept to themselves and gave us plenty of privacy.

The private garden was lovely and well equipped, and the living space had everything we needed, including a kitchen and dining area. Our room was peaceful and huge, with a clean bathroom and a very good shower. The place is only 6 km from Saint-Chamond town center, in a beautiful setting that feels much further away. The owner was wonderful and friendly, and very patient with us when we arrived exhausted and disorganized. Breakfast was very good, and a travel cot was provided for our 8-month-old baby. We stayed just one night, and it worked out perfectly. The baby slept soundly, as did we. We only wish we'd stayed longer. We'll be back soon!

The bed was the big problem for us. It creaked whenever we turned over, and the frame or mattress, maybe both, seemed warped, so we kept rolling into the middle. It made sleeping difficult. The welcome was very warm, and after the climb up those “few” steps, we were rewarded with a wonderful view of St. Chamond and the Pilat mountains. It looked beautiful in daylight and at night, and the sunrise from the terrace with tea or coffee provided in the gîte was magnificent. The kitchen was well equipped. The bathroom had a shower and large sink, with towels and shower gel supplied. There was also a small flat-screen TV in the bedroom.

We felt very comfortable here. The owners were friendly and accommodating, and breakfast was delicious. The accommodation was quiet and well equipped, with a lovely view from the terrace. Highly recommended! 👍
