I arrived late at night and got a quick check-in, plus friendly service in the bar. Jana was especially nice, greeting me with a cheerful smile and a welcoming attitude. The hotel is clean, near city center attractions, and has friendly staff.

The restaurant was very nice for dinner outside, and the prices were reasonable. The room and bathroom were clean and pleasant, with comfortable beds, good-sized TVs, and plenty of power outlets. It had the usual amenities, including A/C, slippers, bathrobes, Nespresso coffee, and soft drinks and water in the fridge. The hotel is uphill from the bus stop. In summer it’s too hot to walk into town, so you need to take the bus or use Uber/Bolt.

The carpet was nice, but that was about the only bright spot. The plumbing was horrible, the beds were so-so, and breakfast fell short of what was advertised. The listing called the place “renovated.” Staff didn’t impress me, and the maid service had by far the worst attitude. I’d never consider coming back or recommending it.

The location was convenient, and the room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Service was courteous. Accor keeps its service standards consistently high across its brands.

We stayed two nights at the Mercure Sud during our road trip through the EU. The location was convenient, close enough to walk to the lake but away from the crowds in Annecy downtown. The room was nice, and the A/C was a blessing during the scorching hot days we spent in the city. Breakfast was quite nice. The hotel also has a spa and swimming pool, but we didn’t use them, so I can’t comment on those.
