The village has about 30 people, and the Château owns a large part of it. The views from the high point are wonderful, and the wine-making process is interesting, with everything done in 100-year-old concrete vats. We had a wonderful group tour and a lovely lunch. The Château’s history is fascinating, and they make really good wines. You must reserve something in advance.

We were four Australians and had an amazing tasting with Christelle, who showed us the extraordinary setting and shared the history of Haut Sarpe. With its peaceful rural outlook, beautiful village, and grounds, it would be wonderful to stay there as a small group.
