We really appreciated how gracious, kind, and accommodating the hosts were. Dinner was delicious and very good value, and breakfast was too. There was a nice outdoor seating spot in front of the room, and the bike storage was excellent, with plenty of different tools. Still, several things about the room didn't work for us. The toilet was inside the room with only a screen between it and the rest of the space. The bed was uncomfortably hard, we had to ask for toilet paper, and instead of a shower there was only a very deep tub. I can't recall exactly what the listing said when we booked, but knowing the toilet wasn't in a separate room would have changed our decision. We'd recommend the hotel, but ask about the toilet before booking.

The owners were so welcoming and made us feel at home. Breakfast was generous and delicious, served inside or out in the beautiful garden, and the massage was a real highlight, deeply relaxing. The old manor is lovely, with a stunning garden, and the center of Saint-Ciers is just steps away. Most shops and restaurants are easy to reach on foot. We only stayed one night and wished we'd booked more time. Highly recommend this lovely bed and breakfast.

What a treat this stay was. We had the fabulous family suite with adjoining rooms, enjoyed a lovely pool to cool off after the long drive, and got a great restaurant tip by the river. The welcome was warm, the rooms and house were beautiful, and breakfast the next morning was delicious. Gorgeous garden and lovely people too. Merci beaucoup! xxx

I especially enjoyed the terrace, the Potager, and the private outdoor space. Jean-Marie and Jean-Louis gave me a warm welcome, and I'm already hoping to return soon. The house is beautiful, carefully renovated to keep its old-house feel while adding modern comforts discreetly. My room was immaculate, with Jean-Marie having thought of every detail. I loved the vintage china and tableware collection, and Jean-Marie puts great care into the delicious meals he cooks. The location worked really well for me too: I travelled on foot and used regular buses in both directions, making it easy to visit Blaye and Bordeaux. I'd happily recommend Le Camélia Blanc to everyone.

Breakfast was delicious, and they served it early especially for us so we could leave promptly for the ferry home. The owners were very friendly and helpful, which made our one-night stay extremely pleasant. Our room didn't have an en-suite toilet, unfortunately, but the shared one was just across the hallway, so it wasn't too bad.
