Serendipity

The kids had a great time in the swimming pool, and the scenery was idyllic. Lisa and Tim were perfect hosts. All in all, a great holiday.

After the long drive, it was lovely to unwind with a glass of wine and/or a swim in the pool. The room was spacious and clean, with a beautiful garden view and such a peaceful feel. Tim, Lisa, and the dogs and cats gave us a very warm, friendly welcome. It was a truly lovely stay and a fantastic start to our holiday. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Losing our room key late in the day turned the stay into a nightmare. The owners had no spare or master key, so we were left to sort it out ourselves. They soon became extremely aggressive and even insulted us. We had to come up with a makeshift fix on our own. Absolutely no professionalism. What happened to customer service and hospitality? A catastrophic experience.

The cats and dogs around the villa make it easy to feel connected to nature, and the garden is beautiful. The atmosphere is lovely, and it’s wonderfully serene. You can even stay without locks on the doors, which says a lot about the place and its neighbors. It’s in the heart of France, with only a few restaurants nearby, but every one we tried was excellent. Highly recommended.
