The Taverne had good pizzas, and the evenings there felt cozy. The pool was simple but nice. The place is a bit dated, though the staff were friendly. It wasn't expensive, but the campsite isn't by the river. There were lots of French tourists and fewer visitors from elsewhere.

It was a peaceful, quiet place to spend a holiday, and the price was reasonable. We were welcomed warmly, and the food was amazing. Really lovely camping!

We remembered this campsite fondly from our holiday there in 2008, booked through VacanSoleil, and after all these years we decided to return in May 2026. We couldn't book directly, though. The young man on the phone spoke little or no English and kept saying, “Send Email.” We did, but heard nothing back, so we booked another campsite nearby and visited Le Ceou on May 23rd instead. What a letdown. There was almost nothing left of the lovely campsite we remembered. The Dutch owner had left in 2014, and a French organization was running the site under another name, though the sign saying “Le Ceou, 3 stars” was still there after more than 20 years. Reception was in a nicely renovated little building, but that was about all that looked cared for. De Taverne was closed, and the grounds were messy and full of weeds, with no tables or chairs. I didn't see the cottages against the slope, so can't comment on those. Across the road, the camping area was a mess: no clearly marked pitches, grass badly overgrown in places up to hip height, and you had to wade through it to get to the only toilet block. The football field and camper pitches were overgrown and unusable too. The pool was empty and starting to grow over. Even with the holiday season beginning, it didn't look as if anything would improve in the coming weeks or months. This campsite isn't worthy of three stars, or even one. We were glad we hadn't booked. While we were there, they were still taking pitch bookings and asked if we wanted one. Our answer was a very clear no. The website looks completely different, and I'm afraid people who book based on it will be disappointed. It is advertised as child-friendly, but it is far from that. This is a scam. The young man at reception didn't seem to care at all. Ferry and Monique.

The mobile home was very comfortable, especially the beds, and at €117 for four nights for two people in the off-season, it was good value. There were only just enough dishes, though. The reception staff were helpful and gave us sightseeing tips. Wi-Fi was available only at reception, and the swimming pool was closed and unsanitary.

The activities coordinator and manager do what they can with the limited resources they have. The campsite is well located and inexpensive, but investment seems low and many parts are dated or in poor condition: the pool, pitch electricity, toilets, pétanque courts, multi-sports pitch, and even a sewage smell. A lot needs improving. Also, a busy road cuts through the campsite, which makes it dangerous for children.
