My partner’s birthday getaway was perfect, and we’d highly recommend staying here. Tour De Cause is a beautiful, quiet spot in gorgeous countryside, and it was a pleasant walk to Castelnaud La Chapelle. Our lovely hosts took care of us with delicious breakfasts, restaurant bookings, and helpful ideas and recommendations for our stay. Thank you 😊

We were so well looked after by Anne and Jean, who really try to make your stay special. The rooms are beautifully furnished, with big comfortable beds, and there’s plenty of space indoors and out to relax. Breakfast was a highlight, with homemade jam and yoghurt, a different home-baked treat each morning, pastries and breads, and fresh orange juice. After a day out sightseeing, the lovely pool surrounded by greenery was a great place to catch some sun. There’s so much to see and do nearby. A perfect spot with welcoming, attentive hosts.

We only wished we could have stayed longer at La Tour de Cause. The old stone barn and manor house have been beautifully restored and are full of character, with very stylish en-suite rooms finished to a really high standard. Igor and Nico, Belgian former chefs and owners, gave us a fabulous welcome and were incredible hosts. Their evening meals are outstanding and cost very reasonably extra, so don’t miss them. A truly memorable stay. They deserve all the success we’re sure they’ll have in the years ahead.

The rooms are a good size, and the lower rooms have a nice open shower, but there was a strong smell of mould remover. For €140 a night, that’s hard to accept. The property is beautiful, though it needs better upkeep. The paths from the car park to the rooms and pool were half overgrown. The pool is pleasantly large and warm in good weather, but seemed to be cleaned too infrequently. It got dirtier as our stay went on, and on the second to last day I got a rash from the unclean water. Under these circumstances, especially at such high prices, I can’t recommend staying here.

Four days wasn’t enough, and we wished we’d booked a longer stay. Our breakfasts and dinners brought us together with some wonderful people, and the hosts gave us so much thoughtful attention. The service, care, and delicious food were the best parts of our time there. Beautiful, charming, perfect, and no hesitation in recommending La tour de Cause.
