Lagrange Vacances Les Jardins de Neptune

We came back for a second year. The residence is ideally placed, with the beach and port an easy walk away. The staff were welcoming, thank you to them. The apartment is thoughtfully laid out and very well equipped, with a fridge, dishwasher and air conditioning that we really appreciated. The shower was great, the bathtub huge, and the bed a bit firm but acceptable. The pool is nice and secure, but it isn’t heated, has no loungers or chairs, and there’s no shade. The floor felt very unpleasant even with a towel. Parking is tough: there’s a lot for the residence, but locals use it to avoid paying, and spaces are limited, so once you find one you don’t want to leave. The floors and walls could have been cleaner. Last year our apartment faced the park, which was noisy late into the night. This year it faced the pool, and the noise made it hard to sleep in. I recommend the residence for a relaxing holiday, thanks to its excellent location.

The staff made us feel so welcome, always smiling, friendly, and ready to help. We had a lovely week in a comfortable house that was equipped with everything we needed.

The location is handy, close to the sea and within walking distance of the market, bakery, and other shops. The residence is secure, and the bedrooms are pleasant with good storage. The bedding was decent, and the big fridge and dishwasher were useful. But I came away with mixed feelings about the apartment. There was no air conditioning upstairs in ours, where it gets extremely hot. Some of the other apartments do have air conditioning on both floors. There aren't many power outlets either, and finding them can be a bit of a hunt. The bathroom is awkward to use: the inward-opening door leaves very little room, and a shower would have worked better than the bathtub. The kitchen pans weren't very good, though the large refrigerator and dishwasher were welcome. If you want a quiet stay or are travelling with young children, this probably isn't the right place. Young people gather every night and stay loud until very late, sometimes early morning, with no consideration for the neighbors. The private pool gets crowded and dirty quickly in mid-August, and people are constantly bumping into each other. 😬 There was no organized entertainment, despite Nemea advertising it on their website. There's only one set of keys for the whole apartment, which makes it harder to come and go independently. 😮‍💨 Resident parking spaces are often taken by locals parking for free, so we had to leave the car farther away.
