At 2 AM, after another night without sleep, I’m exhausted and frustrated, just counting down until we can leave. Please book somewhere else. I rarely write bad reviews, but I feel other travelers should know what happened here. The room was unbearably hot day and night because the air conditioning didn’t work. My wife eventually slept on the floor because it was a little cooler than the bed. There was also a terrible smell from the bathroom, and the mini fridge was broken. We reported the problems more than once and asked for help throughout our three-day stay, but nothing was fixed. No alternative room or real solution was offered. All they suggested was opening the window. It faced a busy multi-lane highway with traffic around the clock, so that meant trading the heat for cars and trucks making noise all night. The broken facilities were bad enough, but what upset me most was the lack of responsibility and customer service. Problems can happen anywhere, but leaving guests without help for three days is unacceptable.

I couldn’t sleep properly because the room was so hot. The air conditioning didn’t work, and the mini fridge was broken and unusable. There was also a strong unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom as soon as I entered. We told the staff about these problems several times, but they didn’t provide proper help or a real solution. The facilities directly affected our stay, and it felt like the hotel simply ignored that. The lack of care and responsibility was as disappointing as the broken equipment. I’ve stayed in many hotels, and this was one of my worst experiences. I won’t come back and can’t recommend it.

The rooms were clean, spacious, and stylish, but the air conditioning didn’t work all day or night while it was 32 C outside. At around 150 euro a night, being stuck in that heat felt suffocating. I couldn’t sleep and left earlier than planned. Management didn’t seem very concerned about how guests were feeling, and they couldn’t fix the AC that day. Please respect your guests or find a solution.

There’s a small gym upstairs with a treadmill and bikes, though no weights, and a food ordering machine downstairs that we didn’t try. The room was also packed with useful things: a bathroom with a separate bath and shower, hand-dryer, shower gel and shampoo, a separate WC, large TV, moveable table, fridge, microwave, and kettle. We had a spacious family room, with a big comfortable bed for the parents and two singles for the kids or teenagers. It had a quirky, unusual atmosphere that made the stay memorable. The location worked well for getting around, about a 10-15 minute walk to Metro Porte de la Chapelle. The one downside was that I injured my fingers unfolding one of the beds. It was a small mishap, but could have been worse, so the hotel may want to check its safety. Otherwise, it was a comfortable, practical stay with plenty of thoughtful family features.

We found the buffet breakfast good, though we didn’t try much of it. Check-in and check-out times were generous, and the location was handy for the subway, buses, and tramway. Even though the hotel is above a highway, the two sets of double windows kept out the noise. The welcome at the front desk was excellent. Our room was lovely, clean, and comfortable, with a curtain separating the bathroom from the living room, plus a sofa bed and a nice work area. It also had a fridge, microwave, and Nespresso coffee facilities. This was our first stay at B&B Parirs Nord 18eme, and I’d highly recommend it for a visit to Paris.
