Kazhotel

The room was so poorly insulated that cockroaches came in beneath the shutter. That same shutter opened straight onto a busy street, with no soundproofing, so sleeping was almost impossible. There was also a strong cigarette smell. When we arrived around 7:30 pm, as we’d warned the hotel we might, nobody was there with a room for us. We couldn’t reach them and stood outside for over an hour before calling Booking customer service. We eventually got the keys, but no one apologized or explained what had happened.

The manager was welcoming, friendly, attentive, and helpful, and the dorm was clean, simple, and inexpensive. The shower had great water pressure too. A great place for a short stop in Saint-Denis. I’ll be back on my next stopover! 😉

The apartment was a good price, and the toilet and shower were OK. But it was unfinished and smelled strongly of paint. It was noisy, and the sofa bed was so uncomfortable that sleeping on it will be a challenge.

We paid in advance for a room for two, but the night before our stay we got a text saying our reservation was gone because too many rooms had been rented at once. I tried calling and texting without getting any reply. My partner and I ended up sleeping in the car before leaving for mainland France. A disgrace for this establishment.
