Hôtel-Restaurant Le Régal

I slept extremely well, the food was superb, and the staff were very friendly. It's a good hotel choice for motorcyclists.

The restaurant is pretty good, but book ahead. The standard room felt cramped, and half the rooms face the main road, about 4m away, so they're very loud. There was no Wi-Fi for my whole stay, and no AC or ventilation at night. Breakfast was okay, though quite limited for €14 per person. Pool and sauna hours were restricted, so you couldn't swim before breakfast or after dinner. With the amenities on offer, the rooms felt overpriced, and this didn't really feel like a 3* place.

Room 52 was brand new and had everything you'd want, and the hotel facilities were amazing. The pool was exceptional, a big and pleasant surprise. We were on a motorcycle trip and stayed one night, with dinner and breakfast too. The food was very good, and breakfast was very good as well. Service and staff were good. The restaurant staff were friendly, though not as attentive as we'd have liked. I was amazed that the young people still spoke so little English. We managed with my poor French, but I still found it weird.

The food was delicious, one of the better kitchens, and the big patio overlooking the water is gorgeous. The hotel is beautiful and brand new, the rooms are clean and big enough, the garage is great for storing lots of bikes, and the people are friendly. The bed was very comfortable with a super soft mattress, though if two people share it, you move around a lot. We enjoyed the stay and I'd book again for the price, area, and food. There are a few things to improve. They need to keep fresh toilet rolls and shower soap supplied. The meal servers seemed to be new students. Some couldn't find table numbers, forgot drink orders, and only brought bread for three of us when there were five. Steak knives were missing. We had to ask several times before things arrived. The students didn't seem to know much about politeness and etiquette, though I'm sure that will improve. It would be nice to eat breakfast outside instead of in a packed room with a noisy orange cutter.
