Logis des Jurats

Arnold made our stay memorable with his warmth and attention to detail. He was flexible about our early arrival and late departure, which was a thoughtful help while traveling with our toddler. Logis des Jurats is a charming historic building dating to the 1500s, with old-world character alongside modern comfort. It's a peaceful spot, just a three-minute walk from the town center and close to everything. Our room was spotless, cozy and family-friendly. Breakfast each morning was fresh, generous and filling, just right before exploring the town and vineyards. We had a wonderful two-night stay and would love to come back. Highly recommend Logis des Jurats in Saint-Émilion.

The rooms are large and the views are incredible. Logis des Jurats is right in the heart of the beautiful medieval town of Saint-Émilion, with private parking. It made a perfect base for exploring on foot, with great wines to sample and places to eat just steps away.

The village of St.Emilion was wonderful and helped make up for a disappointing stay. The location and parking at Logis de Jurats are great, but our apartment was poor and didn't feel very clean. We booked it based on the good reviews, and ended up wishing we'd read the description more carefully. Maybe the individual rooms are better and are what earned those positive reviews. The bed linen was grey from over-washing and still stained, and the towels were old and mismatched. There was mold in the shower. No wardrobe, just a small, cheap plastic clothes rail that wasn't enough for four people. The kitchen had no dishwasher, and cooking for a family was a real challenge. There was no salt, oil or coffee, just random leftover spices from previous guests. The only coffee maker was an old Italian moka pot that made coffee taste like plastic, apparently because its gaskets were old and burnt. There was no washing machine, and the information folder said laundry service was in the next village. Overall, the apartment itself wasn't bad, but it lacked care and attention and felt like costs had been cut everywhere. With some investment from the owners it could be very nice, but it currently lacks many things normally provided in holiday apartments of this category. We've had lots of good holiday rental experiences recently, so I hadn't expected one to be this poor. We didn't enjoy staying there.

The view was marvelous from this clean, comfortable apartment in an outstanding location. It has been recently renovated, though a few details were odd, like the complementary half bathrooms separated by a staircase and the deepest skylight I've ever seen.
