You can’t ask for a better spot, right in front of the main train station. The rooms were clean and nice, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There’s a water filter on each floor, and they give you a glass bottle for filling it. Mine wasn’t new this time, unlike the bottles they handed out on my previous stay. It had debris inside and didn’t smell new, so I didn’t use it. Check-in and check-out are both at noon, which makes a late checkout almost impossible. Also, check the restroom signs near reception. I was tired and didn’t pay attention, went into the one marked with the toilet symbol, and realized it was for women.

The breakfast bar was presented very nicely, and everyone at this Novotel was super friendly. My room was okay. The giant Teddy in Reception is adorable and gives a great hug, though he only speaks French. After 10 hours behind the wheel, I was too tired to try the gym. I’d stay here again.

My experience at this hotel was extremely unpleasant. I had prepaid for the room, but reception charged a 100 deposit, and it appeared in my app straight away. I paid everything at checkout and expected the deposit back immediately; instead, I got a receipt and was told it would take a few days. I don’t know when I’ll actually get the money. The staff were extremely unfriendly. They could be replaced by AI, since AI doesn’t have negative emotions. Very bad.

The hotel is pleasant and friendly, with a bit of a quirky feel, but the beds are a disaster. I’ve rarely slept on anything so uncomfortable. There’s a plastic sheet under the main sheet to protect the bed, and it doesn’t breathe. That makes it miserable to sleep on, all to save a little money. It’s a real shame, because this could be a great place to stay.

Probably the best hotel in town, but nothing special. It was okay for a night. There was lots of dust and bread crumbs under the bed, the towels were old, and the bed wasn’t comfortable.
