Hôtel Maxime

We had a balcony with a lovely sea view, and the room itself was fresh, stylish, and very clean. Breakfast was good if you like a continental spread, with cereal, bread, cold cuts, cake, and yogurt. Having parking included was handy, too. The staff were especially friendly and easy to approach whenever we needed help. The hotel is right in the centre of St. Florent, close to the shops, restaurants, and coast.

The room was comfortable and clean, with good air conditioning, a TV, and internet. The hotel is in downtown St Laurent, but on a quiet block just around the corner from the busy port. I was biking around Corsica and, when I arrived, the welcoming host quickly showed me the garage where I could secure my bike and checked me in without delay.

A friendly receptionist greeted us when we arrived, and the hotel was good value for money. The rooms were very clean, with great showers, air conditioning, and beds. We also appreciated the parking inside the hotel grounds. It’s right by the port and old city centre, with plenty of nice shops and restaurants nearby. Rooms are spread across several building blocks for larger family bookings, so that’s something to consider if you’re travelling with younger kids.

The owners are a lovely couple who speak French, Italian, and English. They made us feel welcome and were happy to help with what we needed. Our room was a good size, with a roomy bathroom, and everything was very clean. The hotel is centrally located in Saint Florent, and on-site parking is available if you reserve ahead. There’s also a security code entry system for late evening.
