The breakfast was a treat, with local organic products brought out for each room: yogurt, three regional cheeses, marmalades, cake made by the host's mother, ham from walnut-fed pigs, if I remember correctly, and tasty, hearty slices of bread. I enjoyed it a lot, though one of the cheeses, a Saint-Flour blue, wasn't to my taste in the morning, and I prefer ham sliced thin rather than in chunks. The old town is right on the hilltop, so sightseeing is easy from this restored townhouse, Maison d'Adelaïde, with its impressive woodwork and typical French decor. Saint-Flour is a lovely little town. Our host was extremely kind and helpful, and spoke English, which made things much easier since my French isn't great. We were lucky to find a parking space right next to the hotel, but the narrow streets through the city centre can be tricky in a modern-sized car. It all worked out fine, and the shower was lovely. We both slept well in the massive bed. We had a lovely stay on our drive from Spain to The Netherlands.

It's a perfect central spot, with lots of places to eat and drink just a short walk away. The room was very comfortable, and the modern shower had strong pressure and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was made with local organic produce, including jam made by the host's mother. The hotel and Saint Flour both have plenty of history. Parking nearby took some effort because a national Saler cattle competition had brought in lots of tourists and farmers. After driving around for a while, we found a spot at Cathedral Square, which I think the hotel lists as free parking.

The host made us feel welcome and was friendly and very helpful with tips about restaurants and shops in town. Everything was perfect, from check-in and the room to the Wi-Fi, bathroom and location. This was our best stay on the trip through France, and we can't wait to return.

A great base for exploring the region, with easy parking nearby. Our host was welcoming and gave us useful tips on restaurants and sightseeing. The restored townhouse in the historic centre is elegant, and our room was quiet and lovely, with tasteful decor, high-quality bedding, a large bathroom with a walk-in shower, and a very clean feel. Breakfast featured quality products from local producers. We'll be back!

This characterful, charming bed and breakfast sits in a 19th-century house right in the historic centre of Saint-Flour, close to the cathedral. Fabienne, the owner, is incredibly attentive. The room was comfortable and tastefully decorated in keeping with the house's history. Breakfast was delicious, made entirely with fresh local products. A wonderful find, and we'll return.
