Amaudo

Even though I could only stay for one night, Hôtel Amaudo gave me a wonderful first impression of the Guadeloupe Islands. The views are hard to beat, and everyone on staff was incredibly welcoming. Thanks to Philippe and the whole Hôtel Amaudo team!

We loved waking up to the ocean view each morning at Amaudo. Our first-floor room opened onto a terrace with a table and chairs overlooking the garden, and the scenery was breathtaking. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, so we slept well every night. Inside, the room was spacious and spotlessly clean, with air conditioning, a kettle, coffee machine, fridge, microwave, and some dishes and cutlery. The bathroom was roomy too, with a good shower. Amaudo sits between St Francois and St Anne on Grande Terre, just a few meters from the little surfing beach called Plage de Baroque. It has about 15 rooms. The shared areas were clean and well cared for, with a good-sized infinity pool and a restaurant serving breakfast. Some rooms also have private pools. The staff speak English and French. They were friendly, polite, helpful, efficient, easy to talk to, and very caring. You’ll need a car to explore, but parking was easy and secure. Amaudo made our Guadeloupe holiday perfect, and we came home with lovely memories of that view.

Stephany and Bianca were wonderful, sharing helpful suggestions that made our stay feel special. The whole team was welcoming, and the pool area was fantastic. We found the hotel charming and well located, with a stunning view from the balcony. It was a comfortable, deeply relaxing stay, and we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend it, and thanks for such a great experience.

Olga and Stephanie really stood out for their service. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, including bread, pastries, fruit, cheese, and meats, and Olga offered to make eggs to order each morning. We loved starting the day with her smile and cheerful manner. The hotel is a charming little place with 14 rooms. We stayed in a spacious, quiet room that shared a pool with three others. It was cleaned perfectly each day, and we had spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea. We’d highly recommend it.
