The quiet really stood out: the chateau is right by the main square in St. Gaultier village, but once you enter the driveway, all you hear is nature. A friend suggested it because it’s the only chateau accommodation around here, and I’m glad I took their advice. The hosts are warm and helpful, though their French is very basic, which might matter if that’s important to you. I was happy to practice my English. Breakfast is good value and well worth adding, especially for the great coffee. I had a lovely stay and would happily recommend it. I’m definitely coming back next year!

The setting was wonderfully peaceful, and we really enjoyed our stay. The couple made us feel welcome from the start. The castle’s owner even offered me a beer on the house, which was a lovely gesture.

The garden was such a relaxing spot, and the prices are very reasonable. This is a lovely B&B for adults or families. The accommodation is in a house across from the beautiful chateau, and it’s modern, warm, and comfortable. Definitely worth staying here if you’re in the area. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
