Le Mas d'Acanthe

We especially liked the private sauna and the little fire in the loft bedroom, both unusual treats. The meal was full of fresh, seasonal ingredients and well cooked. It's a quiet spot with a pretty, flower-filled garden, and you don't hear the cars. The host is warm, welcoming, and clearly enjoys decorating and entertaining. There's a small binder in each room with ideas for outings. We chose it partly to visit Avignon, but there are plenty of other walks nearby too. A friendly place and good address for a short weekend away as a couple.

The owners are kind and attentive, and happy to share useful tips for seeing the region. The industrial-style loft makes a cozy place to unwind, with everything we needed, including a sauna and clawfoot tub. There's also a lovely pool. A particularly enjoyable stay, and a great base for exploring.

The boat trip was a real highlight for us. We also loved having unrestricted access to the pool and breakfast out on the terrace, with homemade jams. Our two hosts were caring, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. It was a lovely stay in a near-paradise setting.

The loft we stayed in was roomy and comfortable for three. Mas d’Acanthe is such a peaceful place, with a lovely garden and two very affectionate cats, Titi and Rooky. Evelyne and Michel gave us a warm welcome, and breakfast was carefully prepared with fresh local produce. We enjoyed chatting with them in the mornings, and they always had good suggestions for places to eat and visit. A lovely stay, highly recommended if you're in the area.
