Chateau Ricard

The apartment felt bare and unwelcoming. We’d booked for four and arrived in winter to find only one blanket. Calling the owner didn’t help: he blamed us and never followed through on his promise to sort it out.

You can see the city and the Lot River from this comfortable, practical apartment right in the center. The pool was a real plus. Parking is the one drawback, though there are places around the hotel. A stay worth having!

The apartment worked well for our four-night cycling trip with two friends. The bedding was in perfect condition, and the place was clean and very comfortable. The welcome and the renovated pool were both fantastic, and the grounds, including the green spaces, picnic tables and barbecue, were clean and cared for. From the garden, the view is magnificent, and the area around it is stunning. A couple of things could be better: the apartment materials seemed low-end compared with the magnificent castle, and 70 euros per person per night felt a bit expensive for a 2-star apartment built with those materials. The location is hard to beat, right in the village near the center and walking and cycling trails. I had a very pleasant stay and highly recommend it. Bruno, Nice.

Adeline welcomed us and was friendly and efficient. We’ll cherish our memories of Aveyron. The apartment sits in a lovely, characterful building, with a view over the river and a swimming pool. The town is pleasant, welcoming, and full of friendly locals. Shops are easy to reach, and the central location is handy for sightseeing, activities, and wine tasting.
