We only booked the apartment for one night through Booking.com, for €170. We arrived at 9:00 PM and were meant to check out by 12:00 PM. The owners wrote to say we were obligated to wash the dishes and take out the trash after leaving, because cleanup wasn’t included in the price. Neither the website nor Booking.com said that. When I pointed that out, they said I should have asked beforehand if it mattered so much to me. Being treated this way over a single night was really unpleasant, especially since they kept insisting we had to do the dishes and take out the trash. The apartment itself was very small. There was no extractor, just something decorative, and the balcony looked out onto some trees, nothing special. The sofa was extremely uncomfortable, and they hadn’t even left basics like salt and pepper for guests.

The views of Mont Blanc can be spectacular from a south-facing balcony. It’s a peaceful collection of small residences, set around 1,400 metres above sea level at the foot of Mont Blanc. There’s a swimming pool and tennis court, and the slopes and trails are close by. Plenty of places to visit nearby.

We come here twice a year and still love it. It’s peaceful, surrounded by nature, and well placed facing Mont Blanc. A lovely spot for a relaxing break and walks in the great outdoors.

The apartment is in a great spot, though the roads leading up to it are narrow.
